MS BASIC source code for Akalabeth 128.
This is, per its developer, an “almost line-by-line conversion of the original Apple II source [code]” for Akalabeth, specifically targeting the Commodore 128 as a platform. There are several Commodore 64 ports of Akalabeth, and this is not intended to compete with those; Fox Cunning’s goal was to create as close to a pure port for the Commodore 128 as possible.
There are some minor differences between Akalabeth 128 and the original game. Most of these have to do with the game’s interface; AppleSoft BASIC allows developers to do a few things that MS BASIC (the language used for this port) does not. The game’s controls have also been re-mapped, to account for the differences in keyboard layout between the Commodore 128 and Apple ][.
